Photographing in the Austrian Alps
The Austrian mountains are diverse — lakes, alpine meadows, high ridges, and remote mountain areas, each with different seasons and conditions.

I photograph across multiple alpine regions and plan shoots with altitude, access, light, and season in mind — so ideas work not just visually, but realistically.

This allows your experience to feel calm, well-timed, and natural.

Photography experiences I offer in the Austrian Alps

I photograph a range of Love Stories across Austria, always adapting to the rhythm of the mountains and the plans you’ve chosen:

Each experience is planned individually — with location, timing, and atmosphere in mind.

Local knowledge & trusted partners

Mountain photography often requires more than just showing up.

I support my couples with:
  • location scouting tailored to their plans
  • realistic advice on access, timing, and season
  • recommendations for trusted mountain venues and planners
  • connections to florists, experience partners, and unique alpine locations
This makes planning easier - and helps avoid compromises later on.

austrian Mountain regions i love the most

Over the years, I’ve found a few regions that consistently offer something special — visually, emotionally, and logistically. These are the alpine areas I return to again and again.
  • Salzkammergut

One of Austria’s most iconic alpine regions — known for its lakes, gentle mountains, and storybook scenery.
Places like Hallstatt, Wolfgangsee, Gosausee, and Altaussee are part of this area, but there are countless quieter spots beyond the famous viewpoints. I know locations here for different tastes and fitness levels, from easy lakeside settings to more elevated mountain backdrops.

  • Salzburg Alps

Classic alpine landscapes with a strong sense of space and light.
This region includes areas around Hochkönig, alpine valleys near Zell am See, and wide mountain settings that feel open and powerful without being extreme. It’s a beautiful choice for couples who want a timeless mountain atmosphere with room to breathe.
    2
  • Dachstein Mountains

    Bold, dramatic, and unmistakably alpine.
The Dachstein region is known for its rugged rock formations, high plateaus, and views that feel almost otherworldly — especially around the Gosau area and the Dachstein massif itself. Ideal for couples drawn to striking landscapes and a more raw mountain feel.

  • Styrian Alps

A quieter side of the Austrian Alps — often overlooked, and therefore wonderfully calm.
This region offers wide meadows, softer peaks, and places like the Hochschwab area, where nature feels intimate and unhurried. Perfect for couples who value tranquility, connection, and a slower rhythm in the mountains.

These are just reference points — not fixed rules. I help you find places that fit your vision, season, and comfort level, often beyond the most obvious spots.

We are very grateful to Irina for the beautiful photos of our civil wedding!
She was super professional and put a lot of heart and dedication into her work. She even scouted out the location in advance where we would be taking photos after the ceremony. During the shoot itself, we felt completely at ease; everything was relaxed. When we weren't sure how to pose, Irina offered suggestions, which was incredibly helpful. At the same time, she managed to capture all the spontaneous moments, and these photos in particular turned out to be truly special. The pictures are a very special memory for us – natural, emotional, and simply beautiful! We're already looking forward to having her accompany us to our non-denominational wedding!
